Tony Zee, host of The Tony Zee Show Worldwide, presents his satellite radio show every Thursday evening at 8:00pm Eastern Standard Time on www.realityradio101.com.

The show is billed as, “A Show by Musicians, for Musicians”. The very successful show, although Adult Rated, entertains people all over the world, and has garnered rave reviews globally.

Tony’s true love is being a bass player for several Toronto, Ontario based Bands. He provides the hard rocking, bottom end for the rhythm section, Lead Vocals and Backing Vocals, as well as the comedy relief for all of his projects.

Tony is currently working on a new project, Flashback 70’s, with a talented array of musicians, and will debuting it very soon.

Tony has had the pleasure to play on the same stage with Kim Mitchell, April Wine, David Wilcox, The Georgia Satellites as well as members of Lighthouse, The Spoons, Shakira, and many others.

Tony Zee’s bass tones and mesmerizing pulses provide the hard hitting, soul moving rhythms that allow lead instruments to shine, and audiences with the inability to stand still.

Tony’s antics, style and crowd pleasing energy have enthralled audiences all over North America and keeps his fan base growing with every show.

Tony Zee’s other projects have included, LaBarr, Bad to the Bone, The Gator James Band, and several other bands in the Durham/GTA area.

EQUIPMENT

Acoustic Bass

My best friend when I don’t want to use an amp, it’s thick, it’s rich, but a bitch on the fingers. To be honest, it can also plug into my amp, but why, it sounds so nice all on its own. This has such a nice throat that I don’t even mind the sore fingers. Maybe, I shouldn’t play it for 5 or 6 hours at a time.

BC Rich Mockingbird

This guitar was the culmination of a 30 year search, and finally found, by accident by Nola. Talk about sexxxy… WHOO HOO! It just melts me when I see it. I don’t normally play this, because I MUCH prefer it as an art piece on my wall, and what an art piece it is.

Bongo

This guitar was a Christmas gift from Nola. It’s a dream to play, and has a beautiful throat. You can manipulate the sound to pretty much whatever style you need, and above all, it’s so comfortable to play. The neck on this baby kisses my fingers every time I form a note.

Custom shop Fender P-Bass Red

I have a few of these P-Basses, and I can’t put my finger on it, but they sound SOOOOOOO good. It has some really beautiful tones, and plays like it was made for me. And no other guitar sounds quite as Rocky as this.

Custom shop Fender P-Bass white

This Custom Shop P-Bass was also a gift from Nola. DAMN! She can really pick ‘em. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve fallen in love with this ax, but probably, every time I play it. It not only has a deep throat, but also just sits so nice against me. I just never want to put it down.

Fender Jazz

OH BABY!!! This is my go to guitar, it never lets me down. When I play it with love, it loves me back, and I always play it with love. It has a deep, defined tone, and begs to be played often.

Hand Built Spector

This gorgeous lady weighs a tone, but DAMN she’s hot. I’ve NEVER heard a guitar with such a signal response. Although it has never played a live gig (and probably never will) it’s one of my favourite axes to plug in to when I’m recording. It can Rock, it can be bluesy and it IS sweet.

Ricken Backer

This has been one of my favourite axes since the early 80’s. It’s throat is a little more high pitched than my other Jewels, but it ROCKS HARD. It can be a little uncomfortable till you get used to it, but when you do… HOT DAMN, it’s so responsive and loving that you can’t put it down.

Traben Phoenix

OH MY… I’ve loved this guitar since day one. It looks so different than anything else out there, and it plays like a dream. It can hand the deep tones and the high register better than anything I’ve ever played. I love this girl and she loves me back. Her looks are High Class Model, and she handles like a down to earth farm girl.

Warwick Streamer

My go to girl for most everything. She’s there whenever I need her. She does ANY job and does it better than I could ask for. She travels well, she has great manners and because of the preamps built into her she take a nice stroll, run a marathon, or even drag race at Indy, and she looks good doing it.

My favourite five string to be intimate with. This is my favourite writing instrument. She inspires me… she is my muse for most anything I want to experiment with. She’s quick and agile to play and fit’s me like a glove. She’s beautiful and versatile.

Gallien Kruger 155 Combo

This is the rig I take to most gigs. It’s easy to move around, and now that I’ve modified it… it’s a beast… I LOVE this little amp. It’s loud, it’s rich, it’s versatile and easy to fit into small travelling spaces. It’s small, but MIGHTY.

Mesa Boogie Cab

My Mesa is the rig I usually bring to large outdoor shows. Why? Cause it’s awesome…. The cab and the head have been modified to what I like, and DAMN, do I like it. It looks great, sounds great, and pumps the bottom end like no other. POWER to spare.
